Your titles are the most important factor for calculating the page relevance. That sets a rating for Google to have a base line for your site. The search engines are triggered each time you add something to your existing site.

The snippet is the piece of text that briefly describes the content of the page. This appears in the pages and leads your pages to the search engines.

At that point Google analyzes at a glance for the existence of titles in the first line of the search result. And then it re-rates your site once again, hopefully crating a higher rating. This acts as a link to the net site.

In that section you can include synonyms to the keywords in your title. You can also use related keywords & even repeat your targeted keywords in the description to increase your results. If you are creative enough you will experience higher traffic.

One of the main goals in search engine optimization is link building. Also often called back-links.These are basically links from other sites pointing to your web pages. Back links are also created and the more back-links you have the more popular your web-site will be.

You must maintain a balance between your web-site & the number of links you get every month.

Researching your competition is crucial to understanding how much time it will take to dominate the search engines.
